Ale and Greg Chavez
Ale and Greg Chavez have two kids, a six year-old boy and a ten year-old girl. They have been at Addenbrooke since 2014. Greg is native from Lakewood Colorado and lived in Costa Rica from 1995 until 2014. He runs a small hotel in the Southern Pacific of Costa Rica. Ale was born in Costa Rica and recently became a United States citizen. She runs a non-profit organization that protects the rain forest in Costa Rica. Carrie and Matt Ellis
Carrie and Matt Ellis have three boys in grades 3, 7, and 9 and have been at Addenbrooke for three years.
Life is always an adventure in their home. Typically they are fashionably five minutes late on a regular basis.
The boys love sports and jumping on the trampoline. In their free time they enjoy making videos, being outdoors camping, swimming, boating, and spending time with family.
Carrie loves being able to use her gifts and talents to serve the school and help others find a way to connect that resonates with who they are! So far she has served with PACS, SACS, and the Gala. She really enjoyed working to develop this team.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Calling or texting is the best way to find her. Contact Carrie by phone/text at (303) 618-6808.
Karyn and Matt Hansen
Hi, my name is Karyn Hansen, and my husband’s name is Matt. We have one child named Avery is eight years old and has been at Addenbrooke since 2014. Both Matt and I are Colorado natives and attended Jefferson County schools. We both received a good education but wanted to see if there was something a little different for Avery. Upon doing research, I found Addenbrooke. We liked the concept of Classical learning, and the idea of a smaller classroom size.
So far, our experience has met our expectations and Avery is quite happy. However, I work full time, and my flexible schedule has allowed me to volunteer in the classroom as well as other activities. After three years, we still enjoy the “small town” feel and the friendly atmosphere of Addenbrooke. During the summer, if we are not camping, fishing, and swimming, you will find us in the garden or hanging out with friends. I would be happy to help you navigate the system or answer any questions you may have. Give me a call at (303) 842-0896.
Dominic and Sarah Rodriguez
We have five children, three being students at Addenbrooke in grades 3, 5, and 6. This will be their fifth year at the school.
Dominic runs a small business, and Sarah runs on caffeine trying to keep up with the kids. We enjoy camping, boating, time with friends, and a variety of sports including soccer, football, and tennis.
I have volunteered at Addenbrooke in different ways over the years. My favorite role is being in the classrooms with teachers and students, and I strive to support the Addenbrooke family any way I can. Please feel free to contact Sarah by email and/or phone/text at (303) 921-6352 should you need anything.
Stephanie and John Smothers
Stephanie and John have two boys that will be in 6th and 8th grades for the 2021-2022 school year. It will be their fifth year at Addenbrooke, and it has been a great experience so far! The boys have enjoyed student council, being in the school plays, middle school athletics, and orchestra. The orchestra option starting in 4th grade was great for their youngest son to start his love of music early on.
Their family moved from central Texas five years ago and have loved Colorado living since they got here. Stephanie was a teacher for 13 years, three of which were at Addenbrooke. John works in the natural gas industry. Their family loves anything to do with sports and being outside.
Stephanie has enjoyed being involved with Ambassadors and loves to plan outings, social gatherings and anything that will bring people together. If you have any questions about the school, community, or just joining the Addenbrooke community, please call or text her at (512)525-6511.
