ASCENT Program Information

Want to know how to earn a year of free college after high school? Check out the ASCENT program! Any senior who completes their senior year with at least 12 college credits from Red Rocks can apply for the ASCENT program, which allows them to earn another year worth of full time college credit from Red Rocks tuition free. Students are still responsible for paying their fees and books through Red Rocks. See the ASCENT program flyer for more information, and talk to Mrs. Dobson if you have questions.

Credit Recovery

Please check your transcript under Reports in Parent Portal to be sure which courses you need to make up. Please remember that 25 credits in specific categories are required to graduate and to participate in the graduation ceremony. Compare your credits to our graduation credit requirements document.

If you need to makeup some credit, please take a moment to look over this credit recovery options flyer and let Mrs. Dobson know what you choose.

Concurrent Enrollment

Addenbrooke offers concurrent enrollment with Red Rocks Community College in which students can earn college credit while still enrolled in high school. Parents and students in grades 9-12 who are interested in this opportunity can get more information from Mrs. Dobson. You may also visit the Jeffco Public Schools website to learn more.

Mentoring Group

The mentoring program this year has gone through some changes that have been highly successful so far! We have seen an increase in student bonding, mentorship, and leadership among both the mentors and mentees.

This year, the 8th graders are mentoring small groups of 6th grade students and are going through the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. The 11th and 12th graders are mentoring small groups of 9th graders and are going through lessons designed from the book The 6 Most Important Decisions You Will Ever Make.

If you have questions about the mentoring group or if you are interested in being a guest speaker, we would love to talk with you! Please contact Mrs. Dobson by e-mail.
